Take part in a sunset walk with Emily Beswick and Sufea Mohamad Noor to visit and document historical locations for the ESEA communities in Liverpool.

THE EXILES: MY STOLEN CHINESE FATHER

A Liverpool exclusive screening of the recently released CNA Insider Documentary 'The Exiles: My Stolen Chinese Father'. 

This film follows the stories of the descendants of the Chinese Seamen who served with the Allies in WW2 who vanished from their homes in Liverpool after the war. Followed by a Q&A with Yvonne and Charles Foley.
Free refreshments provided.

TRACES OF MEMORY - PROJECT SHARING

Traces of Memory is a collaborative research project exploring how family photos can reveal the hidden history of ESEA communities in Liverpool.
Come to see the outcomes and hear from the participants - free refreshments provided.

The project will be displayed in the TATE Liverpool Learning Studio until the 24th of September.

TONES OF LOVE - ODYSSEY X SCOUSESEA

Tones of Love is a film programme put together in a collaboration between Odyssey Film Festival and ScousESEA. The programme presents three films from this year's film festival and showcase and celebrate the complexities of love through the storytelling of filmmakers from Hong Kong and Tibet and Mainland China.

PICNIC AND COLLAGE WORKSHOP

Join LESEAN for an afternoon of communal eating, making collages with Sufea Mohamad Noor and playing games with Pei Tong to mark the end of ESEA Heritage Month.

Refreshments will be served and feel free to bring a potluck dish to share.  
This event will take place at Great George Square and the wet weather location will be The Royal Standard at Mann Island.

This event is open to members of LESEAN and anyone who identifies as ESEA.
